Do you vaccinate against hepatitis C and what are the costs?
Vaccination against Hepatitis C are not available now and in the next years (das gilt noch heute 2020).
Vaccination against Hepatitis B is routine in our office. The costs for one dose is CHF 42.40; three doses are needed (month 0, 1 and 6). Often we vaccinate combined against Hep A and B.
In a high prevalence population like in Switzerland many people are vaccinated. It is recommended to test for antibody titer as mesure for vaccination reactivity and expectations on present and future immunity.
In a high prevalence population (people coming from most countries except EU and US or Canada) it is cheaper to test first [Hepatitis B-c-AK IgG/IgM (9108.01) CHF31.50]. Knowing the infectious state you are able to recommend vaccination or not. To assess fully the infectious state the costs are higher:
